Chronographs – For Those Who Want More Than Just the Time
A chronograph is a watch with a stopwatch function. That sounds like a dry extra feature – but it's more. A chronograph has a different dial from a three-hander: multiple sub-dials, pushers at the crown, a graphic complexity that a simple watch doesn't have. Anyone who has worn a chronograph once understands why it's a standalone model and not just a watch with a button.
What defines a chronograph?
The stopwatch function is the obvious part. But what really sets a chronograph apart is the dial. Three sub-dials for seconds, minutes and hours – plus a date display, a 24-hour display. That creates an information density and graphic structure that a three-hander doesn't have. Choosing a chronograph means deliberately choosing a watch that shows more – while remaining clearly readable.
Which chronograph suits me?
The range offers different entry points. The classic chronograph is the base model – clean design, Japanese quartz movement, tenth-of-a-second stopwatch. The Chronograph LP is a design variant of that: the same functional principle but its own dial design for those who want a different character without changing the model.
Anyone who wants a more exceptional dial will find it in the Chronograph Meteorite: the dial contains real meteorite – a material billions of years old whose characteristic Widmanstätten pattern is never identical twice. Every piece is therefore unique.
Anyone who brings sustainability as a criterion without sacrificing function or design reaches for the Chronograph Solar. The solar drive charges the watch via light – no battery change, around five months of energy reserve. The solar cell pattern of the dial is not a hidden technical detail but a design element.
The stopwatch in everyday life
Anyone buying a chronograph won't necessarily use the stopwatch daily. That's not an issue – a chronograph is a fully functional watch even without active use of the stopwatch. But if you need it, it's there. At sport, cooking, parking. A function you appreciate when you have it – and miss when you don't.
Case and materials
All chronographs in the range are in hypoallergenic 316L steel, sapphire-hardened mineral glass with anti-reflective coating and run with Japanese quartz movements. The case measures 42.5 mm – a size that makes its presence felt on the wrist without being oversized. Water resistance to 5 ATM: rain and hand washing are no problem.
The strap
All models can be combined tool-free with a different strap – between leather, mesh, steel-link and rePET. The character of the chronograph shifts noticeably: leather gives it classic weight, mesh makes it more everyday-capable, steel-link emphasises the robustness of the case.
