Multimatica – Complexity and Elegance

The Multimatica is the only watch in the Lilienthal Berlin range with a rectangular case. Day of the week, date and 24-hour display are integrated graphically directly into the dial – no separate sub-dial, no date frame at the edge. That makes this model unique within the collection.

Who is the Multimatica right for?

The compact case at 36.25 × 30.75 mm is designed for smaller and medium wrists from around 14 cm. It sits flat on the wrist – just 7.6 mm high – and doesn't disappear awkwardly even under narrow sleeves. If you want to keep track of the date and day of the week at a glance without checking your phone, this is a practical solution that also looks good. A certain complexity is part of the design.

Materials – what they mean in practice

Case and bracelet are in hypoallergenic 316L steel. In practice that means no skin irritation, even with daily wear over many hours. The same alloy used in medical instruments – robust, corrosion-resistant, long-lasting.

The sapphire-hardened mineral glass protects the dial against scratches that accumulate quickly in daily life: from jewellery, bag edges or hard surfaces. The inner anti-reflective coating keeps the dial readable even in direct sunlight or bright artificial light.

The watch is driven by a Japanese Seiko quartz movement. It runs precisely, needs no regular servicing and provides around two years of battery life. For anyone who simply wants to wear a watch without looking after it, this is the right choice. Water resistance of 3 ATM handles rain and hand washing – not designed for swimming or diving.

How does the strap change the look?

The strap choice shifts the character of the watch noticeably. The brushed mesh strap reads light and everyday-capable, suits a relaxed or smart-casual look well. The steel-link bracelet gives the watch more weight and presence – suited to occasions where the watch should also function as a statement. The leather strap makes the look softer and more classic, combining the modern form with a more familiar material.

All straps swap tool-free. Anyone who wants to use the watch across different occasions can switch the strap in seconds – no watchmaker, no specialist tools.
